Smart Car in 2008?

July 14th, 2006 · 3 Comments · smart car

According to Forbes Autos, the official announcement, by CEO Dieter Zetsche, is that
will begin selling its fuel-efficient, two-seat Smart Car in the U.S. during the first quarter of 2008. I guess we will wait and see. Meanwhile you could have pick on up in Canada since 2004.

I am interested in buying a Smart Car. It would be perfect for driving around in a small town which are my needs. My Chrysler dealer here in Ozark, AL 36360 is trying to get information on one, so I can possibly buy it. Maybe the auto dearlers are crazy, but I think they could sell a lot of these cars. I have checked, and State Farm Insurance will insure them, and the state of Alabama will license them if they meet the federal safety and anti theft federal guidelines for cars. Please let me or the dealer know how to get one. Lael Walding

They have a list of dealers and some nice videos and wallpaper for ones computers. The Smart Fortwo does meet safety regulations in the USA. I have a 2008 Smart Fortwo Pure.

I reserved it in/about July 2007 and it came in March 2008. I have no regrets in getting it. I have driven it on highways without a problem. It is a great little car. It does not feel small once you are inside it. I named mine Herb. :)
