As a touch typist, I am rather picky about keyboards and input methods. I always liked the mechanical keyboards with the old “Cherry electronics” keys. How to Change File Associations in Leopard

After one year, I finally gotten around of fixing this little annoyance. Everytime I click on a .doc document, my Mac wants to open up Microsoft Office. Finally I switched the default association back to pages.

Select any file with the extension you want to change.
Click Get Info

Apple Production Transition is not Hardware

So the web is buzzing with the “product transition” comments during the financial result calls. Cheaper iPod? Cheaper MacBook? What if it is nothing to do with hardware, but their new unlimited subscription based iTune music, or better still, video service?

Upgrading to Leopard breaks iPhone syncing in iTunes

Emacs for OS X Leopard

I have been using the text mode emacs up to now. On Windows (yikes!) I uses the xemacs with windows extension, which is pretty nice. Quick googling found me Carbon Emacs. It has been updated, universal binary and Leopard. Highly recommended !
