PK is one of those multi-roots global Hong Kong people of the 60's. He grew up in Hong Kong, educated in England and United States, worked in US, Europe and Asia. Professional life and personal life intermix. Work is Fun.

Currently he is in software and business development mode under Imperial Consulting, Inc, which he started in 1987. He is working on several social networking and virtual community Web 2.0 (enough buzzwords?) products, as well as developing custom interactive websites for many companies. He was building global financial web applications as CTO of AdvisorTech Corporation for five years, bringing him to Frankfurt, Tokyo, Seoul, San Francisco and back to Boston. Along the way he flew mover 1 million air miles. He lived most of his life as a consultant Here is a brief description of his work life.

PK started playing with computers a long time ago. He recently switched from his IBM Thinkpad X31 to a Mac Book pro. He has always been a big fan of Apple products. After many years of managing and doing software development in Java, he has again switched all his work to Django with Python. This website has been relaunched using his custom Content Management System written with Django.

Off keyboard he is very likely doing Tai Chi or reading books. Some of his favorite quotes reflects his thoughts on this world. Some lighter quotes makes him laugh. He is very interested in user interfaces in the virtual and the real world.

He started blogging a while back. He tries not to live by the toddler's creed. He writes down his thoughts on this website when he finds a quiet moment, most works are work in progress.

How do I make This Site

This site is powered by my own content management system, built using Django, the web application platform that I use for all my clients. The Design is modified from the template called "Online Business" designed by davereederdesign.com on oswd.

This is the third iteration of pkshiu.com. I started this site back in 2001. Check it out! I started with hand coded HTML, then switched to Dreamweaver and my own templates until I don't want to pay the upgrade fees anymore. Since I am not a visual designer I finally decided to use a template from oswd.
