From Gizmodo comes a link to a review of the new IBM X40 thinkpad. I love my own X31 which I got beginning of this year. Is the X40 better? Yes. But why do they leave out a firewired port? What we need are two, powered USB 2.0 ports and a powered firewire port. I don't need a PCMCIA slot.
